I have 2/13 glock magazines in storage that came with my gun that I hold onto encase SHTF.  Purchased  2/10 magazines from glockmiester before I moved here, and one of them burst into pieces when loading rounds into it . I ended up losing the pieces of that magazine in the move so now I am stuck with 1/10 magazine.for the range. 

Is there a gunsmith or dealer on the island of Oahu that can legally modify the 13 round magazines to accept only 10 rounds, without the possibility of being restored back to 13 rounds?   would it just be cheaper to buy more 10 round magazines and sell the 2/13 round mags on ebay?

"Hawaii state law prohibits greater than 10 round detachable pistol magazines.  Possession of illegal magazines is a misdemeanor, and possession of a handgun with even an empty one inserted is a class C felony."

As far as it being illegal, it doesn't.  However if he's not caught and he pcs' to another base where the local laws don't prohibit magazine capacity, then he will have them.

You can have magazine parts and be completely legal. So, to avoid any potential of legal action or trouble, disassemble and keep them. Then, if you PCS to somewhere they're legal, re-assemble them.

exactly, it doesn't.  Tired of people offering piss poor advice and throwing the military flag out there, like we have some magic exemptions that the rest of the populous do noy . Military or not, standard capacity magazines are illegal to personally own and possess in HI unless your are exempt.

Look folks, if you don't know the law/regs, then shut the hell up and do some research before offering bullshit advice.

Okay so this may be kinda dumb question. So it is against the law to possess one of these evil magazines. But is it illegal to sell or trade one? So my question is if I were to own one of these magazines and wanted to get rid of it because it is illegal could I advertise it here (as an example) and sell or trade it to someone else who doesn't mind breaking the law? Is the act of selling it illegal?

OGC just sends them to John Perreira. I recommend that you contact him directly and either bring or mail the disassembled mag to him. He will mail it back to you. Worked for me with a Steyr GB mag.
