When you get behind the wheel of a vehicle, be it a car, truck, airplane boat et al,  it is the same as
putting your finger on a trigger.  You can destroy things, well in excess of what you could
do with your fists or feet.

I remain in favor of banning automatic transmissions.  They allow otherwise incompetent people to operate cars.

I'm actually in shock the Climate Change zealots haven't mandated manual transmissions for all vehicles.

The reduced weight alone increases gas mileage significantly.  Also, if you use your gears properly, you can reduce the RPMs in a variety of circumstances, which means your engine is using less fuel.

We are victims of the big car markets, cities, where people sit for hours doing stop and go  in traffic.
Manuals are a real pain when you have to do that.  Although I did it for years.
I despise transmissions that think they are smarter than me.
5 Sp 4wd is the way to go on the big island.

That would eliminate most of those zealots from being able to drive, along with countless texting/yapping soccer moms.
