That gave me a headache to read, but it is my opinion Dems typically try to connect to people's emotions (hearts) rather than via logic (brains).  Think of the children suffering, think of the immigrants suffering, etc.  Even many of her statements and arguments in the Kav hearing were mostly emotional as opposed to logical/rational.

Throughout my professional career, I have always been wary of the person who is always reciting their resume, trying to show how good, smart, etc they are.  I've found those were usually the ones that were lacking in that regard, as well as others.

Yeah, the article made my head explode. But that is why I posted it. These are the politicians that represent us. How much worse can things get?

I have an old friend who has turned into a nasty sort of person. I have to deal with him for only another couple of months and I am going to block his numbers. He constantly tries to boost his self worth by tryin to convince me how important his job is. And he is constantly telling me how much he makes. Which is significantly more than I make and he is constantly broke. He constantly brags and lies. I think his self esteem is about as low as things go. The worst part is the way he treats his own flesh and blood family.

Yes they do remind me of someone in particular I have been discussing in PM’s. 

I can't wait to hear her pronouncements of "self-awareness".

Goes along with my, and others, impression of liberals being controlled by "emotions and feelings".  Logic, reason, and facts have no provenance.

Typical.  The village idiot thinking they're smarter than everyone else.  I had an employee like that.  Everytime I saw him doing something wrong and tried to show him the proper way to do it, he would say "I know." 

Somehow she appeals to the majority of her voters despite being so clueless and out of touch. That's even more embarrassing coming from her district.

The fact that she and Schatz both win by the greatest percentage differential of any senate races in the country tells people everywhere everything they need to know about the vast majority of the people of Hawaii. Otherwise they'd have to look at the facts and statistics about cost of living, taxes, horrendous business climate, etc. It's just a shorthand way of knowing: "Total idiots in unassailable control there."

this story was carried by national news networks (not CNN), but not mentioned in Hawaii news.  Hirono makes national headlines, not even worthy of mention here.  sad state of affairs.  sweep it under the carpet, makes us look stupid.   well, stupid is as stupid does.
