Global warming will wipe nations off the face of the earth by 2000 (Read 1353 times)

I guess these Chicken Littles will go on forever with their fantastical disaster lies predictions, no matter how many times they are proved wrong by the passage of time and facts. Almost like "gun control" advocates. Makes one wonder if there might not be some other agenda than "public safety". [I do realize that just because they've always been wrong in the past doesn't mean that they couldn't be right at some point in the future. But still, if it quacks like a duck... 2000, 2030, 2050, 2100, someday... those lefties aren't all that competent at numbers...]

Quote of the day—Peter James Spielmann

A senior U.N. environmental official says entire nations could be wiped off the face of the Earth by rising sea levels if the global warming trend is not reversed by the year 2000.

You do realize that the prediction is not saying nations would be wiped out by the year 2000 right? So the fact we haven't lost any nations as of yet doesn't disprove his prediction.

Also, finding the most extreme prediction and showing it wrong does not disprove the entire position. Its easy to take some wild prediction and make fun of it but we shouldn't treat that as proof the entire argument for climate change is false.
