EDIT: My bad. I missed the previous posting on this: https://2ahawaii.com/index.php?topic=34604.0

This is a tough one. Tough to read without being stupefied by the stupid, or the lies, or both. It took me three days to get through it... it's that dumb and/or disingenuous. Every other sentence is, like, WTF?!

The irony is that this comes from the only police chief in the state of Hawaii that has issued any CCW licenses in the past 17 years (of course the one to the judge was issued illegally and renewed illegally, and the other was for a term of 12 days...) But you have to wonder, if this is what this guy thinks of the Second Amendment, what do the chiefs that have never issued to anyone think about it? I don't think I want to even know, given this garbage from Perry.

Great comment sections, especially at gardenisland link reaming his stupidity.

The 2nd Amendment Must Be Repealed Today

[I'm not providing any quotes at all, because it's impossible to pick out only a couple that are super stupid... you gotta read the whole thing to believe it...]

The Hawaii Legislature sent a resolution to DC calling for a possible change/repeal of the 2nd amendment.

That police chief is just part of the same anti civil rights mindset that permeates this state.

The US is unique among other nations in many ways.  One way we differ is trusting the public to responsibly enjoy our freedoms.  We have laws to punish those who do not.

Punishing everyone who did nothing wrong is the polar opposite of the values upon which our nation was founded.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
