What?! They left out Hawaii! If you added all the Hawaii licenses to that 19 million it'd be... exactly the same: 19 million. So good to know that I'm living in the only state in the Union that didn't make a single contribution to that statistic. We're "special", for sure! (Okay, yeah, yeah, Vermont didn't contribute a single number to that total either, but their reason is because they don't require/issue any permits or licenses to carry, and NEVER have... and we know what a hotbed of "gun violence" that place has always been...).
Of course no one knows how many people are carrying without state permission in the 16 (sixteen) permitless carry states.
Still waiting for the "Wild West" "bloodbaths" to manifest in both the carry-permitting states and the permitless carry states. It started in Florida in 1987, let's see, that's 32 years so far... how long does it take for the "Wild West" to manifest after ordinary citizens begin legally carrying in public? Karl? Chris?

The report, released October 2, shows there are now nearly 19 million concealed permit holders in America.
The CPRC report shows that four states have over one million permit holders each. Those states are Florida, Georgia, Oklahoma, and Texas. It also shows that eight states which kept gender-based data “from 2012 to 2019…[saw] permits for women growing 101% faster for women than those for men.”
