I knew of a group of investors (local people) that were looking for property on the BI. One prospect was something like 500 acres. And a shooting range was in the plans for development. Haven’t heard from that group in a while tho.
If it was the group I'm familiar with, they were crushed by the resorts.
That area is close to resorts, and PC runs amok here.
Gun sounds aren't acceptable.
The very best spot is where the cops go to shoot,
but it is private property and the owners don't want the liability.
At least we know where there a lot of cops at one place
at one time and only one way out with really good places to
lay down a grazing fire.
Lots of good places.
The county government purposely won't select them.
