Just picked up a Blackhawk omega vi nylon holster. Do nylon holsters even if it’s made really well have accidental discharges ?

Enough mayhem has happened with Blackhawk gear that there are very few people who will recommend that stuff, and the inadequacy of most soft holsters becomes apparent with even a minimal amount of training.

Nylon is good for pocket holsters or for strapping to a plate carrier.  If you're wearing it on a belt, you need stiff leather at a minimum, but Kydex and carbon fiber are the best IMO.

If carrying OWB, nylon would need a tight-fitting strap with a hard-to-open snap or other closing mechanism to avoid drops and other retention issues.

I own 2 nylon holsters, and I use them for placing a gun in a bedside drawer.  Just something to protect the piece and prevent picking it up with a finger (or any other object) pulling on the trigger.  I never use them for carry.

Too many quality holsters out there to settle on "good enough for me."
