Escalation is the PDs fault for allowing it and following orders to stand down.

What were these poor, misunderstood, mutha-f*ckn asshat losers protesting about now?

Or is this the new way of celebrating and welcoming the New Year?

Not sure why they don't have snipers around these events when possible. Someone winding up with a molotov towards a building where people might be inside: Shoot them.

with all this resentment towards law enforcement - can you imagine the backlash of having such an operation?

They aren't guilty of a crime until tired and convicted -- same standard being used to deny the existence of voter fraud and election tampering evidence.

If someone is in the building on New Year's Day, it was unforeseeable.  Any first year public defender would be able to get the charge reduced to vandalism.  Summary execution on the spot would be a violation of their civil rights.

I would have said tossing an explosive device at LE is cause for sniper usage, not for property like a building. This is a much better example, which already has vids of this happening a lot since Floyd died.

But im sure LE just taking the explosives and doing nothing is cause theyre following orders right? Which leads us back to my comment of them allowing this to happen has themselves to blame. Especially when it escalates.

It would be a tough call. Depends on the building of course, is it a building that is open for business, would there be a reasonable expectation that someone might be inside (security guard, night shelf stocker, etc). Are there cops at the bottom of the buildings who might be hit by the molotov? What if they throw the molotov at the building the sniper is on top of? It is a tough call, what if the fire that starts spreads to the whole city killing lots of people? I wouldn't say you could blanket shoot someone though.

Plus you wouldn't necessarily have to kill someone. Look at what the Israelis do when people are launching molotovs at them, they shoot a .22lr at their ankles.

I hadn't seen explosives being used so I can't really comment but that would certainly escalate things in terms of force.

Fire is sort of a unique one though because on the one hand you could argue people would have a chance to escape  the building but on the other hand if the fire gets going you could have it spread far and wide. Look at the shooting by Diamond head last year, one house started burning from the shooter and it ended up consuming I think 6 houses total because the fire department couldn't get there to fight the fire.

My father once posed a question to me, (he used to be a sherriff deputy), he said what happens when a rioter hurls a rock that knocks your partner out then he bends over and picks up another rock?

If a punk uses his arm to throw fire, he has a fire arm.
Hence, an leo or citizen is justified in using a fire arm to defend themselves.
Life doesn't HAVE to be complicated.

When i say explosives, i mean fireworks that explode, not just spin or fountain.

Then add in the unknown liquids hurrelled at PD. Im sure its just water.

Love the Israelis.  They don't f*ck around.  You mess with them, they will pound you into the ground big time.  They'll deal with diplomacy after.
