Oh...nice.
My daughter wants to learn to do that.
I gifted her a nice hunting knife just for that purpose.
What, Me Worry?

I really don't know anything about cleaning pig or deer.
I just used to go bird hunting back in the day.
My daughter was supposed to go molokai with some cousins and learn.
Her motivation is expanding her knowledge of culinary arts.
That's what our situation is.
What, Me Worry?

Does she hunt or getting into it? I'm posting videos (passing on knowledge) for other people getting into the sport. These fall along the lines on what I like to do but it's not etch in stone. Steven Rinella on his Meateater channel has section on cooking wild game meat. He mentions that alot of people don't know what they're doing hence most time the gamey taste in the meat. Nelson on Molokai have outfitted hunts and his Molokai bow huntaz channel. I have friends on Lanai but our gov has canceled hunts twice and kept fees. Here on Oahu, pigs, goats, and birds are here for the taking during seasonal periods. Fishing, crabbing are on the table too. Let me know if I can help. My wife lived in Italy for awhile so she has vast skills and knowledge. I have a few friends who are cooks that has given pointers over the years.

I see those informative videos you post.
My daughter is in college studying culinary arts.
This is why she wanted to go Molokai. We have family there.
Even though I taught her to shoot, I don't think she really wants to go hunting per se.
She just wanted to learn to dress game animals.

Thanks for the offer to assist. If my daught wants to do something badly enough, she will do it her way with little or no help from dad.
That's how I raised my kids and I think that is the way it should be.
Dad just offers some money and advice along the way. ...and in this case, a really nice hunting knife that belonged to my old friend who passed away.
The knife has been to Africa and Lanai. Pretty cool huh?

Pretty awesome! My kids are the same way. They have their own mind and ways they want to do things but I see our influence coming to the surface now and then. And it always feels nice when they ask our opinion. Maybe when I get some meat, I'll give you some for your daughter to experiment with.
