Inflation is a choice. Central banks decide how to handle monetary policy and our government obeys.

Same thing like the diamond market.  Diamonds are not as scarce as people think, it's just the companies control how much is released into the public.

Hyperinflation is typically a result of a government monetizing their debt.  I.e., AOC's brilliant idea of coining a $1,000,000,000,000.00 coin so the US treasury is creating the fiat vs borrowing it from the Federal Reserve.  Why limit it to one trillion?  A hundred trillion dollar coin will pay for everything and then some!  Green New Deal?  PAID!  The stupidity of our elected officials is astounding and is only surpassed by those who elect them.

Then it is simply economics 101 = supply & demand.  The value of the US dollar will decline once the government starts flooding the market with US dollars (stimulus spending).

Two things will help (temporarily) prop up the US dollar - the Petrodollar and our military.  But, it will start to freefall (hyperinflation) once confidence in the fiat is lost. 

This is all bad news for everyone living on this planet.

The collapse of the US dollar will disrupt the global economy, but those tied into the US imperial financial system will be hardest hit.  I would not be surprised that many, of the US empire's vassal states, are right now beginning to diversify their US treasuries and similar financial derivative holdings to currencies farthest away and least convertible to US toilet paper.

In any event, the break-up and Balkanization, of the US empire, is much closer than most Americans think.  Let the World pray China, Russia, and all the other nations that are not a willing player of the US imperial financial system, refrain the military goading, of their nations, into a zero-sum delusional war, with the socially and financially bankrupt US empire.
