Giving out Twix Candy for Halloween? Might want to Reconsider... (Read 2190 times)

Twix is obviously testing the "Get woke ... go broke!"  theory.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

I'm pretty sure Twix is trying to say it's ok to be different.

And if you have the means to do so (like a cool nanny....) destroy all f**kers who make fun of you....

It's empowering for all the twinkies out there.

My opinion anyway, that's how I see the commercial, lol!

Sorry Twix.  Even if I didn't see the commercial I still bought M&M's and Snickers instead of you.

edited to add:  Just realized Twix, M&M, and Snickers are all from the same maker.

Yeah.  The most telling thing of all is that there's not a single Twix candy bar in the whole dang ad.

Plus, it's telling that the "Nanny" is an actual witch with the power to conjure up wind and blow that kid away.  It's about as realistic as most of the woke ideas on child gender "selection" being left up to the child.  That's pretty harmful when almost every child pretends to be something they aren't.

Where are the parents?  Where are the Twix?  The whole ad is a marketing fail.

I just looked at my bag of candy from Costco. Everyone is made by the same company. Oh well, next year.

Everyone come to my house for trick or treating, I’m giving out 5.56 and 9mm instead of candy 🥴

Not to be outdone, Doritos has an ad with a ghost -- who introduces his "partner" -- another male ghost!

What's the takeaway here?  Necrophilia? Spirits have sex with each other?  Ghosts are hooking up and pairing up?

Was Alberto not "out" in real life, and now that he's dead, its okay to be openly gay as a ghost?

What does ANY of this have to do with selling Doritos?

Companies that do this are banking on two things:

(1) Liberal, woke leftists will like the messaging and buy more product, and

(2)  Conservatives really don't care either way and will continue to buy product.

This goes back to my point of how tolerant Conservatives are no matter what some academic study tries to "prove."
