Sometimes, the only way to protest government overreach is to resign and let the country know exactly why you can no longer support the decisions, actions and policies of the administration.

Trying to fight it in that position was a losing proposition.  There should have never been a conflict to start with.  It's like having a prom every year at school, and then on the 20th year, the school board decides the dance is too noninclusive and must be ended.  It took 20 years for the woke crowd to take over the school board.  One board chair doesn't have the power to override the majority.
