Got this from a friend in another gun forum.  He lives in Michigan and they formed a political action group called Michigan Coalition for Responsible Gun Owners that successfully pushed through "Shall Issue" laws.  I haven't looked into the website that closely just yet, but just passing along the information.

We don't need another organization, we need more people to support the one(s) we have....be it HDF or HRA, the basic organization is there already.....

+1

HRA has been fighting hard to keep more restrictions in the lawmaking arena, and HDF has been fighting hard for concealed carry in Hawaii with their lawsuit.  More organizations MAY get more little things done, but it'll be harder to fight the bigger fights.  It'll be harder to work together with the big deal items (CCW, additional restrictions, etc.).

My intention of posting this wasn't in the interest of starting another organization, but to increase awareness of the success of a 2A organization in another state.  It was in hopes that we could examine how they went about pursuing it and if we can use it to further our cause here.

The local cases put forth by HRA and HDF may very well be beyond what the linked organization has already done, I believe anything to help the cause would be worth mentioning.  I admit that I am not as current as I should be with the efforts of HRA or HDF, but I am involved.  HiCarry, you've definitely seen me around the HRA/LIFE events. I'll discuss this with you next time I see you.
