Agreed. But I must also wonder, is this always true?

If a reincarnated Hitler were on Spotify spreading some message about wanting to exterminate Jews would I still say Spotify should keep him on?

(No, I am not comparing Rogan to Hitler)

Spotify is free to offer anybody they want to the consuming public.  It's up to the customers to decide if that's the programming they want to support with their money.

I didn't protest my cable company for carrying the Playboy Channel just because I had kids.  I just didn't subscribe to the channel.

If Spotify gets enough subscribers to the "Hitler Experience" podcast, what makes you think your efforts to cancel him will have any effect at all?  It'll bring the channel that much more public exposure and prominence while potentially getting him more money and followers on a bigger media outlet.

In the final analysis, sanitizing the messages we are exposed to can create a lack of ability to differentiate between what's healthy for society and what's not.  Placing a turd on the dining room table is often the best way to start a conversation about it.

A reminder that the 1st amendment is so the government doesn't censor you. Individuals, companies, organizations can do as they please.  And it would not be a 1A violation. So if I don't want a Hitler channel, I can freely talk about how it should be banned. I can do this because I am not a government official.

Now if the government steps in and makes or urges Spotify to remove Hitler channel, then there is an issue. Because also SCOTUS ruled hate speech is protected by the 1A. So if hate speech is protected, then I would think that "misinformation" would follow the same.  Like Psaki stated "more can be done". Which is scary and was mentioned a few weeks ago by Dan Bongino.  Her reply should have been, it's their 1A right and we cannot meddle into their business about speech.

We have the freedom to turn the channel, stop listening, or don't pay for a subscription. That's one of the fundamental tenets our country was founded on - the freedom of the people to choose.

Except whether to get an experimental injection. Oh, snap. I went there.

If you say so.

But, you ARE comparing a private corporation who provides a wide range of political
and social commentary to the public for a subscription fee
to a government-run propaganda machine that only broadcast information and
programming after approval from the Nazi Party and 3rd Reich.

Are you saying Spotify's owners are the new Joseph Goebbels?

Agree 100%!

I apply this same logic to social media as well though.
