Truth As Collateral Damage: Republicans Ignore Lies at Home
« on: March 27, 2022, 09:28:13 PM »
Republicans, suddenly realizing that democracy is worth defending, have stepped up to denounce Putin and defend the same democratic institutions they tried to undermine on January 6.

Trump has yet to explicitly condemn Putin, saying at a recent rally in South Carolina that Putin “happens to be a man that is just driven, he’s driven to put it together.”

But by failing to step up to denounce Trump, and by failing to condemn the violence perpetrated at the U.S. Capitol on January 6, Republicans are abetting the same war on truth at home that they are rightfully slamming Putin for conducting abroad.

"ignore" is not the right word. The supporters don't believe them to be lies.

Yes, Democracy is worth defending.

But a corrupt democracy?

I don't think so.

Rhaydar may be a troll but judging by your responses he has more intelligence than you.

Perhaps but I will always lead my reply with a cordial and logical response/counter argument/question. He gets enough sarcasm and angry replies as it is, nothing is gained by me responding in the same fashion.

Very cordial there, Slick!   Glad you didn't stoop to being sarcastic and angry in your response.

It doesn’t take a lot of intelligence to read off of CIA-approved media script
Stop blaming lazy people. We didn’t do anything.

Wisdom from life experience, to be able to see through "reported lies", is one thing.  Ability to clearly layout arguments, retorts, etc  is another thing.  Just a thought. . .

Perhaps you can't read clearly. I said I will start by being cordial, I didn't say I will be cordial to people have made it non-cordial.

Cowardly? What am I supposed to do, challenge you to a fistfight?

You really are more of a troll than Rhaydar, nothing but derailing insults. You so rarely add anything of substance here. Rhaydar may be a lefty who makes poor arguments but at least he isn't a toxic douche.

Another English Reading failure.

He called Rhaydar "cowardly."  By "another" he could be talking about OmniGrub, whom you defended quite often.

He called you "creepy."
