I don’t see how this will do anything. If Trump was delinquent on taxes, the IRS would have already ran charges.

He already said up front how he, and every other high dollar earner (on both side of the political spectrum BTW), uses the tax code to it maximum extent.

Politicians make the tax code, they protect their donors money, the donors play the system. It’s not rocket science.

Difference here is Trump spilled the beans.  “They” are pissed about it, thus we see all these witch hunts to punish him for it.

For the record they are not looking at taxes for improper deductions the tax returns may have evidence of connections and/or omissions.

We're talking about things that matter -- actual crimes with evidence versus fishing expeditions.
