bascially they will be like HI. You need to take a class in order to buy a gun. This was voted on a few weeks ago in their election (on ballot)  and takes affect 12/8.  Not even a 1 year from now to get their stuff together.

I highly doubt their PD will have the curriculum to approve instructors in 1 week ready. Then 1 has to book the class. So looking at 6 months probably of no gun sales. So FFL's will have to rely on ammo and gear sales to make $.

Hopefully (not holding my breath) the more these types of infringements are pushed by emboldened politicians, the harder it will backfire.  Yet, we have a few on this board that seem to agree with those that push for such things. . .

From what I recall of Oregon, it was a lot like WA State.  The rural areas were quite different than the urban centers.

But then they would need to pass another law to do what that law never did because it was never enforced.

I forgot to add that this law also says 10rd mags.  This is what I think the Sheriffs were not going to enforce that they stated.

I heard and read something about record gun sales recently. 

Most of my former college buddies who lived in OR have moved away.  I have family that live near the OR/WA border, but they aren't gun people. 

There were a couple of interesting YT videos posted yesterday on this.  One by Armed Scholar (2a attorney in CA) that mentioned that there are multiple cases (State and Fed) and they had different rulings recently.  It was pretty interesting on how those different rulings could play out.  The multiple case part is something I will have to read up on more.

Federal courts denied (3 of them).  Their state court felt different.  1 reasoning is that mags are able to be infringed upon. Even though it's considered part of a firearm under USC 921r.

This may have to go to SCOTUS.  Bruen isn't a catch all.  At least there are multiple national firearms orgs helping with this one.  GOA, FPC, SAF, NRA, and a few local (OR local) ones.
