So, firearms brought in by private owners are okay if unloaded, cased and zip-tied through the action

Just be sure not to bring any outside food into the exhibit area.  That's more than likely a major felony!

Thanks for posting these rules.  The HHAA website has a bunch of links with various lists for vendors, buyers, etc.  Hard to know if I missed one.

I read your list 5 times.  Maybe more -- who counts?   :geekdanc:

The first section lists things prohibited by law and follows HRS 134 pretty closely.  No surprises, and not related to the venue's rules.

The closest thing I can find in the second section "PROHIBITED by Gun Show Sponsor &/or Blaisdell Center" is:

- Wearing firearms (except  HHAA re-enactors or security staff)

Nothing in the Blaisdell rules that I can see prohibits non-vendors from bringing in firearms if possession isn't prohibited by statute and guns are properly unloaded with mags removed and actions open/zip-tied.

If I'm not seeing what you wanted us to see, please point to it.

Last time I brought firearms to the gun show, I declared them at the door, they inspected and zip tied the actions open.
