“It’s one of those things that’s difficult to judge,” said Logan. “But we know that helping a community to solve problems instead of having HPD solve their problems, I think is a better conduit to helping a community.”

State Rep. Trish La Chica of District 37 says safety is a high priority in the community.

“Clearly this is top of mind,” she said. “And as a mom raising two kids, similar to many parents in our community. It’s a very high priority to us.”

Chief Logan also said he’s working with federal agencies to reduce the number of guns in the community.

Liberals and government officials never miss a chance to push an agenda.

Where are the stats that guns are increasingly used in crimes?  I live in Mililani, and the RING app has a Neighbors button that lets users post and read about suspicious activity captured on surveillance cameras.

Lately there has been a marked increase in the number of people reporting individuals walking onto private property and checking car doors, looking into windows of cars and homes, taking shoes, packages and other easy-to-carry goods, and when confronted saying they are looking for someone the homeowner never heard of and the trespasser couldn't even say what address they were looking for -- just replies "this address."

None of these are violent crimes or have to do with guns.  They are property crimes, and as we all have seen for decades, HPD doesn't place much importance on property crimes.

There may have been a few more high-profile crimes committed lately with guns, but trying "to reduce the number of guns in the community" is not a solution.  it's an agenda that all but ensures "the community" can't protect themselves from crooks with weapons.

We already know this guy is anti-2a.  He plans to work to eliminate guns in the community regardless of constitutional rights and the fact that an overwhelming amount of those gun owners are vetted, responsible and law abiding citizens.

As a cop he already is vetted to have a gun.  HPD has his back.  He is able to defend himself and his loved ones if need be.

The fact that he made this smug statement shows what a f*ckn asshat he is.

Right now in my mind Chief Logan, Dr. Green, Major Blangiardi, HPD, and all the anti-2a politicians and their people in Hawaii can take a flying f*ck at a rolling doughnut......

I also wanted to point out for those that also live in Mililani - the appointment of Trish LaChica. She wasn't elected to represent Mililani. She is a proud socialist. She tried running on MTA after failed attempts at the State level. She wanted to establish with MTA funds - a pot of money for  "those in need". She is the puppet master in this show.

There's been reports of increased numbers of homeless taking up residence in Mililani the last decade.  I see it when I walk or drive around near my home.  They sleep in shopping centers, in parks, and wherever they can.  Many of the RING posts by neighbors show people who absolutely appear to be homeless.

If Logan wants to fight crime, it's not guns he needs to focus on.  Maybe he can start with helping to solve the homeless situation.

Instead of Logan publicly stating that he will work with federal agencies to reduce the amount of guns in the community, I challenge him to entertain the thought of:

1)  Making it easier for law-abiding and responsible citizens interested in owning guns to protect themselves and their loved ones

2)  Work on ways to keep guns out of the hands of criminals and make it harder for them to obtain them.  Also, severe consequences if firearms are used by those who are prohibited to possess and own firearms.

This really is the way to reduce gun crime.  But I'll bet everyday of the week and twice on Sunday that looking for ways to reduce gun crime is not really on the minds of these people.  What really is on their minds is a total gun ban for everybody except for those who they say can have them (LE, Military, and the chosen few like Hunter Biden).

Omidyar is also the owner of Honolulu Civil Beat, soon to be rebranded as Honolulu Civil Unrest given the direction this state is headed.

A couple of facts to note. WHY ARE LEGAL GUNS OWNERS BE HELD to a HIGHER STANDARD?

A NUMBER of these so-called "High Profiles" Gun Cases has interesting facts:

" Takushi pulled an unregistered Glock handgun"  -

Recent Shooting at Cock Fight-  One of the shooters was "under the legal age" of being able to have a gun....Shooting in which 17 yr old in Makaha was killed by another.  Both  had "illegal" gun(s).

BTW it was never reported WHO owned the guns or if they were stolen.  Notice that non were "ghost" guns.  The news media ALWAYS like to make points of this when the cops say they were....

No matter how many more RESTRICTIVE laws are made, IT WILL NEVER solve the Gun issue of a gun or guns used to commit a crime.

Look at other BLUE states...Did cases involving guns go down?

Illinois, California just to name a few states with restrictive laws...

Why are they counting GANG related shootings as a Mass Shooting?

To me Signs at businesses and restrictive laws are all "FALSE SENSE OF HOPE".  Do Criminals follow the law?  We know what the answer is.

If I had faith that whenever I went out into the public leaving my property that HPD was everywhere and can ALWAYS respond, i would never carry my gun outside my home.  But lets face it, reality is having a home alarm system, Surveillance cameras etc.  Just like other tools I own, A handgun is another tool.

Everyone has a nice day and keep safe.

Aloha!

I guess fights only break out in bars.

This case illustrates just how dangerous it can be to carry a weapon into a bar. It is much easier for a dispute to turn deadly when a gun is involved, " city Prosecuting Attorney Steve Alm said in a statement.

That little slut is a POS. Have had a few conversations with that dumbass and was not impressed. Our last communication ended with me telling her that she’s not qualified to run a flea circus and to take a long walk off a short cliff…… :)
