More production and sales to the gov't ensures the ammo companies will survive the economic turmoil happening.

That's a good thing.

The real issue is the raw material supply.  Why does the gov't have control over that?  Some sort of "national security" BS?

The gov't should stockpile what they need -- raw materials and/or factory cartridges purchased on the open market through competitive bids -- and not have a corner on the markets for raw materials.

What if the gov't decided to only allow oil to be sold to the few refineries we have at a level they control?  Who do you think would get the majority of fuel produced?

Something's wrong here.

As is usually the case when it comes to government.  Cornering the market is a no-no for the other guys.  Not them.

To bad gun related companies refuse to sell to the government until anti 2a laws are undone.  I know Larue doesnt' sell to LEO in a state that said item is illegal for civilians to own.  Larue also donated to a few HI lawsuits.

But I understand that money is greater than rights.

Imagine a world that all gun related companies did this. We wouldn't have all these BS gun laws.

It's not just the money.  The firearms industry (including ammo manufacturing) is one of the most highly-regulated industries in the US.  It wouldn't take much for the industry to be crippled by audits and inspections, similar to the way the ATF has been going after FFLS to strip them of their licenses for administrative errors.

These companies are walking a tightrope, hoping the feds don't start jumping up and down on it.
