You would figure the POTUS would want a reliable person in charge of his pet projects.

Obama put VP Brandon in charge of coming up with "common sense" legislation and executive actions in the wake of Sandy Hook -- mainly because the regurgitated Feinstein AWB flopped once again.

Ever see anything of importance come from that bunch of hearings and meetings?  They funded CDC to do firearm violence research, and they threw money at the FBI to plug some of the holes in NICS. 

In an interview at the end of his presidency, Obama was asked if he had any regrets.  He said he regrets not having done more for gun control.

I'd be shocked and amazed if VP Cackles does any better.

This is selfish of me, but I hope they pass stuff. THis way the pro2A states help to fight them, thus preventing HI from doing the same laws.  And also hope SCOTUS takes stuff up once and for all, like AWB or mag bans.
