He is not wrong.... but I think it is a little misleading too.

If we just handed Ukraine a billion dollars and said use it to defend yourself however you want then we have less control and derive less benefit. However if we say we will give Ukraine a billion dollars in value then we have more control over how they use iit and we also see more benefit since we recoup some of the taxpayer money. So if Ukraine gets a bunch of drones made by Boeing with that billion then the US government taxes Boeing and gets some of their spending back as taxes. Dislike that as one may, it is still arguably better than if Ukraine took the billion and bought drones from Turkey.

If the CIA hadn't overthrown the democratically elected government and put a bunch of Nazis in charge of Ukraine in 2014 then Russia never would have invaded.

Which makes you wonder...

Are we just tax cattle getting our wealth and rights stripped away by a bloodthirsty Deep State who's only purpose in life seems to be making permanent warfare?

Sounds kinda demonic if you ask me

Correction, I was looking at my spreadsheets out of order.
In 18 months my BR stock has increased $7.04 per share.

I did not buy the stock, it was bequeathed to me and it is the second lowest amount of shares (3.3%) in my portfolio.
I know what BR does and have contemplated transferring $ elsewhere, I dislike them.
I do have a decently conservative portfolio which has accrued gains of $6,480 in those 18 months.
$637.18 was BR gains

I don't do markets and obviously don't offer financial advice, but for those who are playing the ponies or carrying a heavy debt burden there's been a fascinating subject on Peak Prosperity podcasts recently about an event called The Great Taking. The theory is that a few years ago the legal framework was subtly but dramatically changed so that people who buy financial products don't really "own" them but rather have purchased an "interest" in them as unsecured creditors. During a "unforeseeable" financial event the house takes everything but the rest of us keep whatever debt we already have, basically turning us into slaves without property.

Worth a look
