Breakdown if you don't wanna watch the vid.

He dropped various guns from about 6 feet high onto concrete. He used brass with just primer in it, no powder or head.

1 drop was with the end of the barrel hitting the concrete and another was on the beavertail.

So both 2011's failed.  A Nighthawk and a Staccato. When dropped with the front of the barrel hitting the concrete, the gun fired.

A 1911 failed in the same way too, but this was a higher end 1911.  I wonder if all/most 1911's would fail in the same way (cheaper ones).

Sig P320 passed.

For 1911s, check if guns are Series 70 or 80, WRT being drop safe. . . Not anything new, but seemingly more "covered" because of guns "rated for duty use" and a bunch of folks doing drop tests on guns.  At least following the initial wave after early P320 instances.

From research, what I've seen/been told, Staccatos do not have the block, probably for trigger considerations.  But who knows why they chose that route.

You should test you M45A1. . . I'll prep some test cases for you. . .  O0
