350 Legend
« on: September 29, 2024, 11:15:42 AM »
Been thinking about getting a rifle chambered in 350 legend. Was given Some dies, heads and  brass by my brother in the mainland (he doesn’t reload and it came with the rifle as a package deal). Been reading about the 350 being somewhat difficult to reload (I’ve been reloading for 35+ years) and was wondering if anyone here has reloaded and shot the reloads. Been looking at the Henry single shot and the Ruger American ranch bolt gun. Any insight and info will be appreciated.
Thanks!😊

I know nothing about reloading but saw a review of 350 rifles

If you ever decide to sell the rifle, I think a bolt action has a better chance at holding its value than a break action rifle.

I have never seen anyone use a break action for hunting or at Kokohead.

There was a guy selling a couple of break action rifles a while back and the prices were pretty low…..like about $100 and it seems like it took a while to sell all of them

The Henry and the Ruger are about the same price.  The Ruger was the most accurate across all the types of ammo that was used.  For the Henry, for 3 shot groups, only 4 groups out of 20 were 1 moa

I’d vote for the Ruger.
