The FDA made the call in October to pull 79,200 pounds of Kirkland Signature
butter from shelves after discovering that the packaging did not specify that it
"contains milk." Nothing was wrong with the butter itself. Both Salted and Unsalted
Signature Sweet Cream Butters were recalled due to not declaring the allergen
on the package.

What a waste
If you allow government to break the law for an "emergency" they will create "emergencies" to break the law.

What a waste

I can guess which voters are going to ask, "Can I get a refund?", and which ones have enough sense to say, "Please pass the butter."

The FDA could have just had Costco mail their members a sheet of stickers to correct the labels and a way to request more if needed.

Disposal and returns are just ... crazy-stupid.

The cows are on strike due to overtime demands needed to replace the "defective" butter.

Now we have a new problem with mad cows.
