Tesla EV for half off dealer price

Used Teslas are being sold off by Hertz Rental Cars, some as low as $17K for a Model 3.

One reason Hertz is scaling back on EVs is they've been unable to install enough charging stations to keep up with EV demand.

Steve Lehto has a bunch of videos talking about all the problems people have had with Hertz -- from customers being arrested for being in a rental they have a contract for but which Hertz reported stolen, to getting charged for not topping off the gas tank at drop-off for an electric vehicle.

I already went the Budget Car Sales route.  I'll never buy another rental car again.  It's like adopting a battered and psychologically abused teen from a foster home.  You're just setting yourself up for disappointment.

That was my experience, and it's also been the experience of many others who've reported the horrible problems they suffered from rental car salesmen.  Of course, YMMV.

the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.

Here in Hawaii, it costs more to drive an EV than it is with a hybrid given HECO rate of 38.5 per kW.
