Japan is the most honest Nation out there in my opinion.

They don't bullsh*t.  They will tell you straight.

Come visit.  But go back home.  You don't know how to behave, beat it.  You refuse to blend into our culture and identity, beat it.

Yeah, kudos to Japan.  They may be racist, prejudiced, and biased, but at least they know what they want and for the most part, their people seem to support it.

In Japan, you don't have the rights you have here. They basically get you to confess and have a 90% confession rate.  Since their culture is about public opinion (no make shame), they even have insurance for stuff like false groping in a train accusation.  1 guy didn't even do it, but committed suicide due to shame.  They have insurance if your child breaks something and many more.

I walked into a Tokyo department store with a friend who was stationed there for many years.  He pointed to an umbrella rack next to the entrance which contained a single yellow umbrella.

He said that umbrella's been there for as long as he was in Japan -- over 10 years.  When he asked an employee there about it -- curious why it was always there rain or shine -- he was told the thing had been left there over 15 years.  People in Japan are raised to respect others and to not touch things they know are not theirs.

There had been many days of hard rain where people would rather walk out and get drenched than take the umbrella, even if they intended to borrow and return it.

i wish I could remember where that store was.  My daughter's going to Japan in March.  It would be fun if she could check on the umbrella.
