Sheriff's Office Expands Services with
Second Mobile Gun Permit Unit, New Locations

Quote
DOYLESTOWN, PA – The Bucks County Sheriff's Office, led by Bucks
County Sheriff Fred Harran, is enhancing accessibility for residents
seeking to obtain their License to Carry Firearms (LTCF) with the launch
of a second Mobile Gun Permit Unit and the expansion of its operational
presence across the county. This expansion includes the addition of new
host locations, such as Survival Trail in Pipersville, the Quakertown
Farmers Market, and Overwatch Armaments in Dublin.

The Mobile Gun Permit Unit program, initially launched in 2022 as a
first-of-its-kind initiative of Sheriff Harran, was established to bring essential
LTCF application services directly into local communities, offering a
convenient alternative to visiting the Sheriff's physical offices. The Bucks
County Sheriff's Office processed over 12,000 gun permits for county
residents in 2024. In the first quarter of 2025 alone, nearly 10% of all
permits were processed by the Mobile Gun Permit Unit, underscoring the
need for expanded outreach services.

The reasonable man adapts himself to the world;
the unreasonable one persists in trying to adapt the world to himself.
Therefore, all progress depends on the unreasonable man.
