Unfortunately there are no fathers in many homes nowadays.  The culture now is sow your seed and hell with accountability and responsibility.  This man is a rarity and a much-needed Godsend for today's society.

And yes, that lady needs to STFU.  She is the reason the kids nowadays are f*cked up.

I'd like for someone to do a study to find out how many adult males received whippings when they misbehaved growing up.  Then ask what effects the punishment had on them.

I think if the parent follows certain rules, corporal punishment can work great -- on boys.  Girls should never be spanked or whipped.  They're too emotional to see the pragmatic reasons behind the punishment and are likely to hate her parents forever because of it.

The best punishment I've found for girls is to start by rewarding good behavior frequently, then withhold rewards as punishment.  Positive reinforcement seemed to work much better on my girls.
