as I understand it:

too bad, the court ruling applies only to the District of Columbia (population 600K),  might still go "en-banc"?  HOWEVER, if they appeal this to the US Supreme Court, now, then ...  :popcorn:

ironically, neighboring State of Virgina 10rd mag limit goes into effect July 1st, 2026.  Hard to imagine that gun laws in DC would be easier than Virginia.  Maryland, on the other side of DC, of course, has been retarded for a long time already.

This win was in the DC Court of Appeals, not the US Court of Appeals for the Federal Circuit.  Due to DC's special status, this appeal win was equivalent to a state Supreme Court where the next step would be the US Supreme Court.  This would be a good case as there hasn't been a magazine ban appeals court win leading to SCOTUS before increasing the chance of them taking it.  The other thing is DC could choose not to appeal it to SCOTUS knowing they would lose, restricting the overturning of the ban to just DC.
