LOL! I know what you mean...but I remember doing that during field training exercises just to avoid spending hours cleaning the crap left by the blanks. Running around yelling "bang-bang-bang!" must seem ridiculous in any language.

Yeah simulated right. I remember using my MRE as a frag too on an FTX :geekdanc:

Did this kind of training in the army.  Mostly mont and troop movement drills, and even though it sounds ridicules, the training is quiet effective.  better to clean dirt and sand off your weapon then spending a few hours cleaning out all the carbon buildup from blanks.

LOL...All that I can say is times have changed. When I was in the Army, we didn't boom, braaap. If fact the armorers used to take great pride in rejecting our weapons on first inspection, and often second or third, even if is was spotless, just because they could.
