Aloha,

Mahalo for contacting me.  I appreciate knowing your concerns.

I am sorry that I cannot give a full response to every one of the

thousands of Hawaii residents who contact my office, but I do take note of

everyone's views and concerns.  Because I receive so many e-mails, I am

only able to give detailed responses to those from my district.  If you reside in one of the areas I represent (Chinatown, Kalihi, Palama, Iwilei), please forward your residential street address and I will be more than happy to respond at greater length.

Again, my apologies to those who do not reside in the neighborhoods

I represent.

      Thanks again for contacting me.

Sincerely, Karl Rhoads

ive been keeping copies of some testimony and emails and whatnot people posted as examples, but maybe we could know what area of the island people are from, and then have those people write in when we receive emails such as this.  forward it to another member on here who could follow up.  Not sure how others would feel about this, but it would be a good way to keep the pressure on the politicians.  Me personally, i have not gotten responses yet from anyone.  so sad.

Mahalo for your email. Your comments and concerns are important to me, and your feedback helps me better serve Hawaii's communities. This is an automated response to let you know I've received your correspondence. Our office receives and processes a significant amount of letters each week, so we appreciate your patience as your letter is reviewed. As appropriate, an additional response to your specific issue will be sent to you as soon as possible. If this is an urgent matter, please feel free to follow up with a phone call to our Hawaii office at (808) 522-8979. I hope you will visit our website for updates on my activities at home in Hawaii and in Washington, D.C.

I notice a lot of politicians are saying they are overwhelmed with emails/mail/calls/etc. I wonder if they are blowing us off by acting like they are busy or everyone and their grandma is sending in emails.  They probably thinking, gosh i havent worked this hard since my first day. maybe this isnt such a good idea.

keep the testimonies going.  also keep emailing the legislators.  I have had 5 or 6 responses from them.   several have been positive.   so it gives me hope that not everyone has their heads up their butts.

Thanked all six that voted no on HR426.
Got a personal reply from Thielen and a canned response from Har
Think we need to keep up the practice of thanking those that support us
no matter whose district we are in.
Aloha

good call.    Lets get the information on here so we can thank those who voted the bill down last week.   let them know they have our support at the next election.
