Does Anyone Also Do This?
« on: March 03, 2013, 12:23:50 PM »
I like to reload a lot of different products and have found that when ever I reload a 100 rounds using Sierra bullets I usually have an extra bullet leftover after I'm done. So I get 101 bullets for the price of 100. I have not noticed this with Hornady and Nosler. Does any other brand do this?

Sometimes you get one or two extra, sometimes less. :)

With sierra .224 bullets I always get 101.
With sierra 6mm, always 100.
Berger always 100.

I never had less. I like getting that extra because I use them later for working up new loads.  ;D

it's probably because they don't really count out the bullets, they weigh them, if the bullets are just a little lite you'll end up with more than a 100...

+1  Usually have a few extra as some manufacturers like Precision Delta purposely go over the weight to ensure that you are not shorted.

But, I always get gyped when I purchase Crosman bulk pellets.  Usually 5 or 6 short out of 625.

Damn those large corporations! They make all their profits off the back of the little people (Their customers).

Seriously, I would write their CS dept and complain. Maybe you'll get a free box to make up for the loss.

Now why didn't I think of that!   ???  Especially since this wasn't just one or two boxes.  I have probably gone through 8 boxes and every one was short.

Thanks Inspector.   :shaka:

It's funny you mention right about 1% is missing out of each box. Do you know how much that would affect their bottom line if they could save 1% on the cost of every box of pellets? And it would be worth it if only 1% of the people who buy them complain. So what if they give away a box here and there? They are saving 1% on the cost of each box. I think they are doing it on purpose.

If they used a Lee Perfect Bullet Measure, you would end up getting 100 bullets,  +/- 5.
