i know i just returned from nevada bought some firearms from cabelas to bring back with me people kept asking including some employees there and they couldnt believe how difficult the acquiring a firearm especially a handgun was including the registration. And the look on their faces showed how spoiled they really are to me.

How did you like it up in Nevada? They got some relaxed gun laws no? Kinda wanna move up there...Incline Village area..

I like the increased numbers of members. Even if it means longer lines,  it also means a bigger network.
Gun control means using both hands.

William Smith, you sound like the winner of a new ( pronounced used ) airsoft rifle or pellet gun. PM me to collect your winnings.  :shaka:

Thanks aieahound for the airsoft gun offer!  It's appreciated, as the one I was using w/ my boys in our garage went back to it's owner.  I'll check your PM now.
Thanks for all the kind words too.  I think (or hope) there are more folks like me out there- folks in support of 2a rights regardless of gun ownership.  Folks who are rallying to the cause on principle if not gun ownership.

The SB69 hearing yesterday was interesting.  II'll start a new thread on the process, for those folks who are interested.  Like I said, I'm new to this process, and probably have the details and facts wrong, but am curious none the less.

Thanks for everyone's help and support!

RESPECT
you are the MAN, william smith
i wish more people were like you, and you don't even own any guns
if you and your sons ever want to try shooting a SIG 556 SWAT, i'd be honored to let you guys fire a few rounds
i am sure we could organize something for you if given enough notice

...and thanks macsak for the offer to fire off a few rounds sometime. Great offer!  I'll be in touch.  I know HRA, HDF and others have some range days, and I think members can come and shoot if they provide their own ammo (no easy feat these days).  I don't know if we have to bring our own guns or not.  I'm sure my kids will be getting the opportunity before they get much older....:)  I don't have any firearms now, but was an FFL in California for a few years in the mid-1980's, so I've been there in the past.  I remember ATF looked up my backside with a microscope before I got the license- which is a good thing before giving the license out.  I think I had class 1 and 3, but don't remember now...as it wasn't that important to me.  I actually remember there was some RFP to supply firearms to some division of the LAPD, and I got some notice that I could submit a bid to be among the providers....but I just laughed and filed the offer away, as I was more into gun shows, and suspected that contract would go to someone's uncle LOL...  I think I bought and sold a half dozen firearms and lost interest, so just closed the license out after disposing of the guns I purchased.  I even sold the guns I was gifted from my Dad and Grandad....something I now wish I hadn't done :(    They would have been a great gift to my boys, but hindsight is 20/20.

WCMTWS yes sir although laxed could be costly tho they charge a $25 background check everytime you buy although it only takes like 10 mins so its a give and take i guess and no need to register and of course the ability to have a ccw is how it should be here.

is it due to people wanting to buy guns and accessories??

plus it's the only place where people can talk guns 24/7 in hawaii....

it has become a lifestyle and very addictive hobby... hahahaha

Yeah addictive is right. The only other place to talk about guns and legal activism seems to be either at the range or in the 2-3hr lines at HPD.

Yes indeed, the crew here has the feeling of family.  Much unlike the atmosphere on some other Hawaii message boards, where they all assume you are an Obunga worshiper like them.

2A is one of the places I check into several times a day for an attitude adjustment, so to speak.  Keeps you sane to know you are not alone.
