Haven’t tried that. But I’d be interested in trying.

My stash includes Gold Dot SP, Hornady American Gunner HP, and various Black Hills. Did some limited testing on all, as well as baseline with 193.

I have 62 sp federal. Of course ive never used it, and its hard to find even before covid19. I wish i bought more tho. 1 of my ar15s love 62 gr..

I know hpd uses 64gr. GDSP. And ive seen ballistic gel tests with it. Seems like very good stuff.. i dont own any tho.

I also seen 55 gr. Frangible polyfrang ammo also being a viable option.  It explodes pretty well, and it prob would be a very good option as it will less likely over penetrate into your neighbors house. In theory of course. But if you have alot of stuff (kitchen island, punching bags etc.) That a person can hife behind, it may not be a good option.

I mean 2 or 3 in the chest other than standard fmj should knock a person down. But also gotta think of distance and once again your own personal living environment.

Edit: hornady critical def. Is good in 9mm inmo. I dont have any of their 223 except 62 bthp so i cannot comment. But i do trust in hornady. All my ammo consist of only hornady, black hills, speer, and federal. I do have some aguila but never tried them out yet.

I picked up a bunch of gold dot 223 the last time I was in Vegas. Critical Defense looks good too though.
