Take a look in the pics thread and you'll see some nice stuff that you won't find anywhere in Hawaii.

Here's the "marsh-mellow shooter" my 8 yr old son made to meet one of the requirement for "Craftsman" for Webelos I Cub Scouts last month.  I didn't know the boys would be making these until I got to the Cub Scout meeting a couple weeks ago, or I would have taken the Eddie Eagle handouts with me for us to go over gun safety.  When we got home after the meeting, my son found out "you can use a ball bearing instead of a marsh-mellow, and it shoot right through the window..."     Hindsight is 20/20, and I've got the Eddie Eagle handouts to give out at tonight's meeting.  Toy marsh-mellow shooters can be a good safety learning opportunity.... and are about as exotic as I have for now.  If he paints it black.....maybe that lady who wanted to dispose of magazines after their used up will want to use the photo in her campaign of knowledge.

Two sons, 8 and 9 yrs old, and we are almost ready.  A few more tickets to sell.  It was great last year, as they had the bb gun range set up on base, and the boys got to go through a little applied gun safety and shooting in that event.  They both got their BB Gun belt loop- which I thought was great.  Good instructors at the event, and good lessons for the boys.
