A bit of hopeful RKBA news from the mainland.

Some 54 of the 62 Colorado Sheriffs have joined in a lawsuit/injuction appeal to negate the new Colorado Left-Wing laws regarding firearms transfers and magazine capacities:

http://coloradopeakpolitics.com/2013/05/17/heroes-list-of-54-colorado-sheriffs-suing-over-gun-control-legislation/

In addition, there are several other groups either joining the suit or suing on various grounds separately.  (One is a Disabled Rights Group which alleges that the magazine capacity limitations discriminate against the disabled because they wouldn't be able to change low-capacity magazines effectively in an SD or an HD situation.)

Of special interest, there is a move afoot to recall the President of the Colorado Senate for his activities in passing that recent idiotic legislation --even though he's up for re-election next year.  If this comes to pass, it would be a bombshell for any other legislators, either here in Colorado or almost anywhere, who are tempted to infringe on one of our basic natural civil rights.

Of significance to me is that most of those Sheriffs are from more rural counties in Colorado, once again pointing out the fact that urban areas have a wildly disproportionate and tyrannical influence on State politics.  In addition, it has been pointed out, most of the Police Chiefs in the State were "for" the legislation.

What's significant about that is that for the most part, Police Chiefs are appointed and Sheriffs are elected.

Kinda tells you something, don't it?

Just figured you'd like to know.

ETA:  Late news... make that 55 Sheriffs.  Another one just joined the good list as of yesterday.

I do believe that the radical and crazy notion that the Founders meant what they said, is gradually soaking through the judicial system.

A 38 minute video regarding the new Colorado laws.  Some very good points made which are applicable anywhere.

Magpul joined in with the CO Sheriffs despite their decision to move most of their operations out of the state.  That is simply awesome of them.
