So I will be taking the December hunter ed course. After the course is completed...is there some class or group that I can go to to learn to hunt?  Quarter my own meat? Or is it just studying and jumping in alone and hoping for the best like the good ol' days? I don't own a bow or dogs.
 
My step-dad who grew up on a farm in the country in the mainland is a little too old to be going around bumbling through woods to teach me the way. Though he talks about his experiences of hunting.
 
Reason why I ask is because in preparation I started reading more the hunting forums and they talk about different techniques like baiting 1 week prior to hunt, set up tree stand 1 day ahead, hunt really only dawn or dusk, etc.
 
I tried google searching for hunting groups/clubs in hawaii but only found information on ranches and tours. meh.

As far as the meat portion check YouTube or video stashing sites.  I found a couple of good video on field-dreesing deer and hogs.  One guy field-dresses a doe in like a minute twenty something!

I can take you out if your comfy with being in the woods with an armed stranger, but hey, that's how ya learn right?!
