Cop walks through Outrigger Waikiki Lobby holding a shotgun

3:04pm. I wonder what happened. lol.

Got an email from a fellow coworker who's working the desk there. He was holding it with one hand, barrel pointing down.  The faded-orange stock of the shotgun indicated less lethal.

3:15pm - Same cop walked back the same way he came, this time with 3 other uniformed cops.

Someone is having a bad day!

Topics get auto posted to twitter and for some reason a lot of visitors come from those tweets. Dunno why though.

Did you ever find out what happened?

Oooh. Wow. I had no idea on the twitter thing. Was monitoring the traffic yesterday and there were tons of guests lol. If I knew that I would've been more eloquent with the title lol. I don't want to sound anti-police!

Nah I wish I knew what happened. The first thing that came to mind is of course they were looking for someone in the hotel. Someone who has a reputation enough that they'd bring a longarm into the equation. But at the same time, he wasn't carrying it at the lo-ready or anything (he had it gripped with one hand by the frame, not the stock). I wasn't there, but I also got the impression that they weren't in any heightened alert state when talking to the coworker.
