At the range today, it happened again. That one little thing that just makes me see red.
The wind.
Now, don't get me wrong... I generally don't mind weather. My guns don't melt in the rain. I don't mind that my target frame dances in the wind, or that my empty brass gets blown off the table, or that my rounds get blown off target, or that things on my bench get moved around.
No, what gets me is that I can't fucking see through my spotting scope.
It doesn't take much wind to shake a 60x magnification to the point where I just can't fucking tell where my holes are. And THAT just PISSES me off! I don't really care if I hit or missed, I just want to know!
I've got plans for a cinder-block and I-beam enclosure for my spotting scope. It should weigh around 30 pounds. And I am THAT close to moving forward on it!
How about you... what silly little thing ruins your range days?
