Converting a 10/22 carbine to a youth size?
« on: June 30, 2014, 11:33:53 AM »
I have a regular 10/22 carbine wood stock. Is it a simple matter of buying a youth stock for it to convert if for a young person's use?
I think, therefore I am armed.

I have a stock you can take a saw to!

Trim 2-3" off depends on the kid. or I can convert it to an adjustable stock by removing 3" and installing a adjustable butt pad

Thanks for the offer Tom_G.  But I really should trim my stock instead since I have one.

Speedtek, could you PM me the cost for the adjustable buttpad and the labor?  Thank you!

why not just do the easy and best thing by buying a knoxx axiom stock?  it is adjustable so that anyone which you would want to have shoot a rifle can shoot it, puts a pistol grip on it, free floats the entire barrel, lightens the gun by a bunch, is super cheap, adds a front sling for a bipod or front sling point,  is well built, and screws on very easily!

You can get a cheap stock like this. I believe I've seen locally before. My 8yr old daughter can fit it since it has an adjustable stock. It can fold too.

Google it cause every question is a dumb question.
