Help with Keymod Rail Accessories
« on: July 10, 2014, 09:36:07 AM »
I want to attach some rails to my Noveske keymod handguard. Do I have to only buy keymod rails or can I take a standard rail and use those keymod nuts?

http://www.bravocompanyusa.com/KeyMod-Nut-single-p/bcm-keymod-nut.htm

Also does anyone know if the Magpul M-lock rails would fit on a keymod system?

Pretty sure you gotta use keymod specific accessories for your keymod rail. Mlock as well, shouldn't work with keymod. Two different standards.

I did do a google search but couldn't find any info. I can't find info that says you can use standard rails and change out the nuts to keymod nuts or if the hole will even match the keymod holes. I'm asking if anyone tried it before or if anyone knows if it will work? All the noveske 4 slot keymod rails are out out stock but they have lots of standard magpuls and other brands.

Contact the manufacturers maybe they can help.  If not there's always duct tape.

Sell NSR for cheap and then buy new rail.

you should go ask for help from OGC, X-ring, or SEC

None of the links say if I can use a standard rail and just change the nuts to keymod nuts and it will fit. The links only compare between keymod and m-lock. i did however find the answer if the m-lock will fit on a keymod system in one of the forum post. thanks for that.

Edit: I figured everything out.

I would just buy the 1913 rail sections you need or even better see if there's an accessory that directly attaches to the KeyMod.  Last thing you want is for the thing to fall off at an inopportune time.
