I was thinking about ordering a box of MREs to try out to see if I want to store them with my other items for the past few months. The Monday during the week the two storms were supposed to hit, I placed an order for two cases. Apparently I live close to where they are based, and my order was delivered in 20 minutes. Oddly enough, I first learned about the storm after placing my order, while the two cases were being delivered. Since then, I have tried a few of the different menu items, and I have to honestly say I was pleasantly surprised. There was only one item, or entree that I didnt like, but other then that everything else was pretty good, sure its not gourmet, but it is definately something a person could live off of for an extended period of time. I showed a package to a close friend who was in the Marines, and he said the only real difference is the clear package the items are stored in, and no tobasco, but other then that, everything was the same. I plan on picking up another case or two to keep in storage, when they are in stock again.
