A good story from a normally left-leaning newspaper....

Quote
Ten years after Michigan made it much easier for its citizens to get a license to carry a concealed gun, predictions of widespread lawless behavior and bloodshed have failed to materialize.

Stories like this one are becoming the norm, and that's great news for those of us who live in more oppressive states.  The Brady Bunch predict gloom, chaos, panic, and disorder every time gun control is loosened, but it never materializes.  You'll note in the article that the Brady Campaign still calls shall issue laws a "recipe for disaster".  Where is that happening?  When is it going to happen?  Anyway, I'd like to know what definition of "sanctioned for misconduct" they used.  2% is actually quite a bit higher than most numbers I hear, which makes me wonder if they included parking and speeding tickets.  If you analyze the data for violent offenses by CCW holders, the stats become pretty laughable.  I think your odds of being struck by lightning while attending a KISS reunion concert in Madison Square Garden  are better than those of being robbed, raped, or murdered by a CCW holder.
