Here is a timeframe that you can use to judge your progress.
Basic 25 yd. pistol marksmanship proficiency 150 to 200 rnds per week for 2 or 3 months.
Goal, 8 inch cluster of 10 shots.
Less if you get some coaching.
25 yd rapid fire ...200 rnds per week for a month
Goal, 10 inch cluster of 5 shots in about 10sec.
Competition shooting with mppl or similar.... 1 year or b class rating.
At that point you will be a better marksman than most people at the range.
And it only took a year and a half and a few thousand rounds.
Somewhere along the way you could visit Cliff Goo, preferably after you can shoot straight at 25 yds.
The main idea here is that you have to learn to walk before you run.
And it takes time and practice to be proficient.
