Any one familiar with USCCA? Any thoughts? I'm seriously thinking about joining.  I think if you used your legally acquired firearm and exercised your God given right to defend yourself or family in an extreme situation and God forbid you shoot, wound or kill the unfortunate predator guess who will have to defend him/herself in court in this ultra liberal justice system. I think a little insurance would be a good thing.

I forgot which one of these CCW insurance providers I contacted recently.  The one that I did contact did not provide coverage to Hawaii.  Try to contact them with the detail first to make sure you can be covered.

Hawaii's asinine self defense laws and pro criminal climate scare these guys.  I was particularly interested if they would cover a situation like the woman in the Kaneohe beating(1) and if they would cover a defense like that, say you had encountered that situation on the way to the range or PD or gun shop, and decided to be a decent human being and help out.  They said if they did cover Hawaii, and since technically you are going to be breaking the law you will not be covered.

This case still just disgusts me.

A perfect example of how wrong the laws are here, and of what our society has degenerated into under them.

You shouldn't need insurance for doing the right thing.

Where do we get insurance to keep the government from taking our money so they can provide 30 years of food, shelter, clothing, medical care, recreational facilities, law libraries, etc. for "convicted habitual violent felons" who murder? We need a law that would make it illegal for convicted felons to possess firearms. Oh, wait... we have that and for some reason this guy, an already twice-convicted violent felon out on the street, apparently forgot and had a gun, and killed someone... and we get to pay for it, for at least 30 years. Why? Kill the guy. Get it over with.  :stopjack: Sorry.  >:(

I see what they did!  It's so expensive to carry concealed guns there, the crooks got rid of all their concealed handguns rather than pay all those fees and costs!  Brilliant!!  The number of criminals in CA walking around with concealed firearms must be next to none!

Plus, the cost keeps anyone other than the middle and upper class from carrying concealed, which we all know reduces crime in the areas poor people live in.

These lawmakers are geniuses -- that's all there is to it!

That's the work of California's political geniuses. They are inferior to the genius politicians of Hawaii who have created a system for an entire state where NO ONE has a CCW license (or an "assault pistol" or a handgun magazine of greater than 10 rounds, etc.), and thus the resulting absence of any crime whatsoever. Now THAT'S genius! Who can top that?
