Looking at getting a laser light combo (pistol mounted) and was wondering what types of experiences anybody has had with them. Crimson Trace, Veridian, Laserlyte etc....Thanks...

Really like the Viridian X5L, have them mounted on my G22 and FNS9.   Both are green laser, don't recall torch lumens but it's pretty bright, adequate for most close in scenarios I'd imagine .   Have one of their TacLoc holsters for the G22, works well and seems quite similar to Blackhawks serpa.

The X5L is easy to mount, zero, and operate.   It has a few modes to choose from as well: Laser only, laser and light (steady), laser and light (strobe), etc.   Haven't had to actually use it, thankfully, but again really like it's ergonomics & features.

I liked my x5l gen2..til the laser crapped out in less than 6 months. Besides playing around with it at home i never fire with it turned on but i did leave it on the m&p9 for about 1-2k rounds at the silhouette range.
They paid for my return shipping but i havent received my replacement yet.

Thanks for the responses guys..any issues with the Viridians and their on/off switches? Some reviews that I've read had that as a complaint and also battery life....

Battery life wasnt that bad. I played with mine a bit and went thru the battery it came with right before it broke. Green lasers draw quite a bit of power. I dont even think surefire green lasers have that much better battery life. Im thinking about trying out a streamlight tlr4 with red laser to compare to the x5l green

The buttons worked 98%of the time. Every once in awhile it wouldnt turn on with the first press. Maybe like 3-4 times total out of hundreds of quick presentations.
