I think this seems like the most likely scenario.  Though this bill may not benefit us immediately, it would give us great leverage in passing/amending our own state CCW laws.

Honestly you should. If you don't, then you're not looking at the whole picture. Many arguments go away when lots of people can carry.

You have to think long term here.  We are not going to achive CCW in Hawaii in one fell swoop.  There are too many stubborn anti's in our government that flat out oppose anything pro-gun. 

We can however, get CCW through a series of small steps, with each one creating more and more pressure on the Hawaii government until they eventually crumble to our demands.  Other states getting CCW reciprocity would be a national victory for gun owners and would set new precedent.  Governments are a lot like six year olds, "Everybody else is doing it" is often all it takes to get laws passed.

It may not directly help/affect us here in Hawaii, but if this act gets approved it would mean more leverage for us....and thats a good thing!
