I like what is written here except I completely disagree with the fact that his policy blames Mexico for the problem. I don't blame Mexico for the problem. I blame them for taking advantage of the problem which our politicians created. We created the problem by who we voted for as an entire country, Our politicians screwed all of this up. And we let them do it. Mexico found a way to take full advantage of it. We need to take responsibility for what we do in this country. That, to me is very important. Blaming the wrong entity makes it sound like none of this is our fault when all of it is our fault. We look foolish when we don't take the blame for our own problems we created. And until we look into ourselves as voters as being part of the problem and start voting out the problem politicians (Both Republican and Democrat alike) this issue will never get fixed IMHO.

While I like what was written here for the most part I am a pessimist about the possibility of any of this is ever going to happen. It is all sugar and nice what Trump had his writers write for him here. The real problem to me is the President cannot enact all of this great stuff without the cooperation of the congress. And that is where the real problem lies. Bush had a similar (But not exact) immigration policy he wanted to enact in 2000 but it never happened because congress wouldn't pass it. Then we had the Comprehensive Immigration Reform Act of 2007 which again tried to get comprehensive immigration laws passed through the congress. At best this bill was a compromise to try and get something worthwhile passed. Whether the outward claim that we are just too divided on how to deal with immigration issues because we just such passionate people keeps this from passing through congress. Or what I think is that big businesses that benefit from cheap illegal immigrant labor has all of our cronie capitalist politicians in their hip pocket. And there are enough on both sides of the fence to keep any real reform from passing. I know I am a pessimist.

Until we start voting out all of the career politicians, ie cronie capitalists and just plain corrupt politicians, we will probably never see relevant comprehensive immigration reform pass. JMHO

I agree with the vast majority of what you're saying. No candidate can magically make it all better, but it's a place to start.

Congress needs to be next. we MUST pry the politicians that have been in power for the last 30-40 years out of office.

The pipeline that feeds money from special interests to congress has to be destroyed and they need to be forced to abide by the laws they pass.

We, as voters, need to stop being driven like cattle and participate in our government. Insist upon honesty and accountability from our elected officials.

It's our responsibility, our duty, to the next generation.

I'm curious as to how he plans on getting the necessary support to change the 14th Amendment.
